Maggie enjoys working in many legal facets of the entertainment industry, having gained particular expertise in entertainment entity establishment and equity M&As; international entertainment industry dispute resolution, copyright litigation; and protecting artists’ reputational rights. She has participated in many projects regarding corporate establishment, and M&As. She also successfully helped domestic entertainment entities design foreign-related dispute resolution plans. In a model court case regarding reputational damage (which had also aroused great public interest), Maggie achieved remarkable success on behalf of the famous Chinese singer, Zhang Mi. Recently, Maggie has represented in a case regarding copyright protection of the original novel written by the noted screenwriter/author Qiong Yao.
Maggie has had published several of her articles and books on the topic of foreign investment in China’s media industry. She is proud to serve alongside Allen Wang as the lead counsel for the last three years of the Beijing Film Market (part of the Beijing International Film Festival). And as a lover of the entertainment industry in general, her favorite spare time activity is watching movies.
